Therapist Thursday Spotlight!
Meet Cassie Crotts! Cassie works as a Physical Therapist (PT, DPT) in our outpatient physical therapy clinic. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is Astym certified. She is also currently working toward her dry needling certification.
Cassie is originally from Marquette, Kansas. Cassie enjoys watching tennis and college football (Go Cats!), and growing up played volleyball and softball. Cassie has traveled to England, Greece, Germany and the Netherlands. She loves to run, ride bikes with friends, volunteer, and dance in her spare time. Outside of work she is also a cyclist for Team Mulready’s and is planning on riding in the 2018 Dirty Kanza. She also serves as Vice President of both the Emporia Main Street Board of Directors and the Emporia/Lyon County MUPP (Multi-Use Path Planning) Board.
Her long-term goal is to create a path/trail system in Emporia. She also wishes to promote physical activity and health in the community, and to promote/support small businesses and shopping local. She and her husband are in the process of building a house in rural Lyon County with their two children. She hopes to raise happy children into adults with good work ethic and civic responsibility.
The most rewarding part of her job is her ability to empower people with knowledge and teach them to move their bodies properly to reduce pain and improve their quality of life.
