Therapist Thursday Spotlight!
Meet Dale Barb! Dale is a Physical Therapist (PT) that works on multiple floors of the Newman Regional Health hospital for our therapy team.
A native of Hamilton, Kansas, Dale received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy in 1976 from the University of Kansas and received his Master of Health Science Degree in 1991 from Wichita State University. From 1976 to 1990 Dale practiced primarily in acute care and rehabilitation settings in Salina, Halstead, and Wichita. From 1990 to 2005 Dale served as an Assistant Professor in the Wichita State University Physical Therapy Program as the Director of Clinical Education.
Dale has been employed at Newman Regional Health since 2005.
Since 2003 Dale has been a credentialed clinical trainer for the APTA giving numerous clinical educator training programs and workshops and currently serves as a clinical educator for PT and PTA students. Dale has been an APTA member since 1976 and is a member of the education, geriatric and acute care special interest groups.
Dale and his wife Alesia married in 2011 and live on the family farm managing a cattle operation. Dale and Alesia have recently become grandparents and look forward to the continued growth of their family. Dale enjoys reading, golfing and working on the family farm in his spare time.
